News: Lady GaGa Performs 'Alejandro' on 'American Idol'

Lady GaGa has brought her theatrical performance on "American Idol" on Wednesday night, May 5. Introducing her to the crowd, Ryan Seacrest gushed, "This is a woman who's dominating the charts and pushing the pop-culture envelope."

Dressed in black provocative costume, veil and fishnets covering her head, GaGa started her performance with an introduction to "Bad Romance" on piano. The 24-year-old singer later stepped out from behind her grand piano and began wielding a cape with shirtless male dancers surrounding her as she sang "Alejandro".

GaGa is later seen taking off her cape and started writhing on the floor. "Just stop please, just let me go Alejandro, just let me go," so she sang. Furthermore, the stage was filled with smoke which was pouring out of the top of an angel statue.

Lady GaGa's performance on "American Idol" was taped on Wednesday, April 28 at the Nokia Theater. A source told OK Magazine that the "Poker Face" hitmaker demanded $250,000 to appear on the hit FOX show. Though the show's producers reportedly thought the amount of money was "carzy", they apparently had patched things up.
